Deconstructing Splanes 'Generation' explanation

at around 4 minutes into the september 2015 video splane said "for the man and the baby to be part of josephs generation they would have had to have lived at least some time during joseph's lifespan.".

this is the lynchpin of the wt argument, that two lives must overlap to be considered the same generation.. let's take an example of twins who are born just a few minutes apart.

obviously, these twins are the same generation as each other.

one of the elders schools i attended, we dealt with a person who touched a girls breast and covered it up and kept it secret until it was revealed through a source.

I had a couple of nephews that got DF'd for cupping a feel. The one is pushing 40 and i don't think he has ever kissed a girl. A predominately elder, missionary type. I think he needs a good >>>>>. Nothing surprises me with these old perv. elders. They seem to get off of talking and going into detail about what and where you put your hands. It is not good enough to just say you touch a little boob but they have to know every gory detail and how it felt etc.

we were the righteous and enlightened ones... and they were lost in outer darkness.

Anger only hurts the angry person. You have to let go and move on with your life. Enjoy the time you have on this earth. I do not blame my parents as they did the best they could even though they were mislead. I put all the blame the organization. The only thing is to protest in front of a convention you are not hurting the organization but those mislead ones that believe what they have is the truth.

ok here is my 2 cents they are getting complaints concerning the drum beat that goes we are in the last hour of last min bla bla bla and people are tired and want system to end so if the system is ended sooon then why are there new partakers assuming that most have the actually calling.

so now we have a problem how do we fix it?

simple just say those new annointed are not part of this generation so now if we appoint younger guys to gb not to worry there not a part of this generation.

having just come back from the uk and spoke with some witnesses to find out how my old congregation is doing, i realized i am now the age that my elders were when i was a kid.

and i wonder what the elders who are now in their 60s and 70s are thinking when they look in the mirror and an old face looks back at them.

many of the elders in my old hall are now retired.

My mom is 79 and she is resigned that she would see the end. I was the youngest grandchild, so many of my cousins are between age 50 and 60 and they thought that the end will be in their prime years. Their mom, my JW aunt is dead for 15 years, and they still maintain her bedroom and all her clothing because she will be resurrected shortly. Two of my cousins are elders and they think the big "A" is just behind the corner. They told my mom last month that she is wasting her time to go for hip surgery in the fall, because it is 101 years since Jesus rule and reminder her that while she is on surgery and recovery, she would miss a chance to jump into the arc and survive Armageddon in THIS year

This is very much like my story and thousands of others. We were made to believe in the 60's and early 70's that we would not die in this system but we would all walk hand in hand as a family, into that new system. My parents both passed away in the last few years. They were both in their nineties. I got the feeling that talking to them they resigned themselves to the fact that they would die in this "system". So sad that they were robbed of a potential full life only to follow a dream. They were content and came to the reality that they would die. I am sure it did affect their faith in a belief system that mislead them but were in denial. They were happy and content to attend the meetings and associate with their JW friends and relatives. I say whatever made them happy in their finale years was what was most important.

Has anyone asked older Jdubs how they feel about the GB annointed getting younger?

i was married to a 30 year old jw back in the 90's and he claimed to be of the annointed.

he partook at the memorials and all the elders and older jdubs didnt believe him.

they actually gave him a really hard time.

It wasn't that long ago that there was no GB under 80 as they were all part of the 1914 generation. I am sure if Freddy was still around he would not have appointed these youngsters.
